This is a fine hotel with lovely walks on the doorstep in the Country Park nearby, plus Nene valley railway. Good restaurant & outdoor seating with views in summer...although imo the outdoor seating area is a bit plain, no character, just plain tables, benches, paved area...no real character but has potential. At the moment the hotel seems to be permanently closed to paying guests.

Not too long ago this was a lovely place to stay with good service and great scenery....NOW IT'S BEING USED TO HOUSE MIDDLE EASTERN MIGRATES!!!!
I went several weeks ago to book a room for me and my wife as we had some of our wedding pictures taken by the boat lake 20 years ago, thought it'd be nice to recapture some old memories....but when I arrived I was met with a locked door a security, and told it's closed to the public, when I asked why they acted shady and refused to answer any questions, even though I could clearly see many people inside and in the garden area.
Such a shame this hotel sold out to the government.....DISGRACEFUL!!!

2 weeks ago one of our friend from London visited Peterborough, we recommended to stay in dragonfly. Because me and my family go often for a walk and coffee. And we do always recommend our friends to stay when ever they come... Sunday we went to meet that Friend, parked at parking and 2 days later got a parking ticket of £60. When it's there policy when you visit and order something you don't need to pay parking. And it's only £2.5 anyway but I didn't paid and received a parking ticket of £60...
Gave them business, gave them customers myself became loyal customer and in return.. received a parking ticket.
Never ever going recommend any friends or family again..

Breakfast was so disappointing. Got down at 8 am most stuff gone. No juice. Had to ask for things. No yoghurts. Just very poor selection for the price.

Went for a conference, peaceful room, well looked after by staff, nice breakfast rolls and lunchtime buffet,nice views out of the dining room.

I have had a pleasant stay for the past 4 nights. When I tried to book for the following week I was informed there was no availability , which I found strange as the hotel wasnt particularly busy.. As it transpires there are no vacancies due to an influx of refugees arriving .. I think local people and future potential customers need to be made aware..
